Lars Sullivan, I think the guy is very cool!

I know some of you are going to jump in here and say, well Lars Sullivan's career is just about over 'cause he allegedly said some inappropriate things to some married woman on Instagram. Well if you want to know my brief thoughts, I don't believe that's really him on instagram. Could be just some internet troll impersonating him, I think. Whether it's him or not, though, Lars is still cool with me 'cause all that stuff is Lars's personal business and should not have brought into his career thanks to the wrestling dirt sheets that are trying to make him look bad. A wrestler's personal business should be kept away from work if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I'm glad that Lars Sullivan is back 'cause I always admired the guy ever since his NXT days. The guy is a big man yes but he has a cool look. He's got an old school style about him. He looks like those old wrestlers from the 80's, ya know? That's what Lars reminds me of... kind of like King Kong Bundy and George the Animal Steele a little bit. I bet that's why he was signed into NXT to begin with and it's why Vince is very high on Lars.

Yeah, Lars isn't around much and he seems to be a bit injury prone but like him or not, I think Vince and the WWE are trying to build him up as the big main event star. Brock Lesnar is no longer around for now so there needs to be the next big man to be in the main event spotlight and Lars is that guy. When Lars first arrived on the main roster, they had him destroying jobber type of wrestlers at first 'cause they got to slowly build Lars's big man character. The WWE wants to take their time to build Lars into the main event, they're not rushing that as you can see.

During Lars's last run in WWE, he was getting popular pretty quick and fans were really digging him when the WWE shows had crowds. I mean, they had crowds headbanging to his theme song. Now it seems like they totally repackaged Lars for his return... he's got a new look, new logo and new theme song and everything. I love his entrance though... on how Lars appears at the top of the ramp and does his "wide open mouth" thing that he does which is cool. Makes him look scary when he does that.

I think they're gonna give Lars a huge main event push pretty soon here and he could go after Roman Reigns for that title 'cause I'd like to see that.

I'm hoping Lars doesn't get injured again and hope he sticks around longer 'cause this man has a lot of potential to become a huge star. Lars is a big man yes but the man actually knows how to wrestle and is very good in the ring. His brawling is pretty solid too. How come they didn't put Lars in a "Hell in a Cell" match or a Street Fight or something like that? Real soon, I hope.

Lars is awesome and I'm a fan.

The only thing I see when I look at Lars is Gene Snitsky. The 1st time I saw him in nxt all I could think of was the Snitsky train wreck. Other then being a huge, hairy dude, what’s special about him?
While I would agree that wwe needs to replenish some big guys with the likes of Big Show, Lesnar, Mark Henry being gone or retired I just don’t see Lars being the guy. It’s still early, he could change my mind.

Lars has too much of a baby face to be taken seriously as this intimidating badass.

Yeah, that's what interesting. Lars was brought in as a heel obviously but fans are loving him anyways. Why? Because Lars is the ultimate badass, that's why. A lot of times fans just boo and cheer who they want but fans seems to love Lars even though he's a bad guy.

I was hoping the WWE would finally make Lars vs. Braun Strowman happen but it looks like they're not rushing that either since they are on different rosters due to the draft. A bummer... someday Lars vs. Strowman would happen, just not right away I guess.

Lol I didn't mean baby face in wrestling lingo. I meant baby face in the way he looks. Underneath that beard he looks like a teenager. You make him a badass but he doesn't look like one whatsoever.

You guys shitting on Lars are just "anti-big men" in WWE. Well, not every big man wrestler is a bad performer. Fire up your WWE Network and watch some of Lars's older NXT matches. He had some pretty exciting matches back then, all this popularity he's getting already ain't for nothing. Lars is good in the ring.

I don't see anyone in this thread actively 'shitting' on Lars, they just might not be as sold on him as you are. I wasn't a big fan of him before he got hurt, not a big fan of him in or outside of the ring. I'm also not anti-big men, it's kind of stupid to be anti big men, there's always gonna be the monsters. Also, VKM loves big dudes, so there's never gonna be a shortage of them. To me, Lars has no personality or star power, he's just plain, I don't really see anything special about him. I also don't really consider him that monster either, he's 6'3" which is pretty standard for wrestlers; CM Punk is 6'2', Roman is 6'3", Sheamus is 6'4" - where as Braun is 6'8", Undertaker is around 6'9", Kane is listed as 7'0'.

If they give him some more personality or a different gimmick I could see something happening because weight wise, dude carries weight obviously, but I just don't wanna see the same ol' 'me big so me monster' gimmick they typically do. I want better and more interesting monsters.

Also, as for popularity, it's been noted that he's not well liked in the locker room, granted, he's got VKM on his side so that's all that matters, but any time I see anything about him whether it be news stories, twitter, or instagram its not overwhelmingly positive. If you could point me to anything you've seen I'd gladly check it out for more info.

Jesus Christ, chill out, nobody at all has said they are “anti-big men” in WWE, nobody has said in their posts about this topic that a “big man wrestler” is a bad performer. They just have a difference of opinion to you about Lars Sullivan, like anyone on here is more than entitled to have, as you are entitled to have your opinion that you like and admire Lars etc. Not everyone is going to like him.

I don't know about you guys but I thought Lars had a great match with Jeff Hardy on last week's Smackdown. I don't get your hatred for him. I'm impressed with Lars's cardio in the ring from last week 'cause he was fast and brutal. You guys may not like Lars now but I think you'll come around soon. The push he's getting is well-deserved and I think Vince has got a good eye on Lars. Just watch. You'll like him in the future, trust me.

I would very much like you to point out from any posts on this topic where any users have said they hate Lars Sullivan. They just have a difference of opinion to you, just because you like him does not mean everyone else does, or that their opinions will change as much as you want everyone to “trust you” that their opinions will change.

It was just a recommendation. I don't care if you wanna dislike him, fine. Just saying someday you guys will come around and realize that he's not a bad performer like some are saying.

The thing is, no one is saying that he's a bad performer, he obviously has some level of talent, and no one is denying that. I am not a fan of the guy and even I can admit he's not a bad performer, but he's also definitely not the best performer, but he's just boring and stale to me. It's not always about how well of a performer a person is and their overall persona/gimmick, which his is lacking big time. You are assuming that everyone who isn't as excited about Lars either has a hatred of big guys or that we'll come around and eventually like him. WWE has been trying to strap a rocket to Lars' back for years now and it never works because he's just not over, he gets hurt, or he has a scandal. Now I am not saying he has no fans, because obviously you prove that otherwise, but where you got this popularity level with him is beyond me because everything I ever see about him is that he isn't the most popular but VKM likes him so it doesn't matter if no one else is sold on him because Vince's say is ultimately the way it goes.

Sometimes people aren't going to agree with you, when you post a topic like this you open yourself up to people agreeing with you as well as disagreeing with you, saying that we'll come around is another assumption you make, there are wrestlers that everyone has that are good/great/decent performers that sometimes you just don't like. I've been that way with Seth Rollins since his debut, I can't deny he's a good performer but I've never liked him as a wrestler/gimmick and that's never changed, doesn't mean I don't see his talent or the reason people like him, he just doesn't suit my taste. At this point you might just have to agree to disagree on this one dude. It's perfectly fine you like Lars, but its also perfectly fine that people don't like him.

I’m aware it is a recommendation, based on your preference which is fine, some people might end up liking him, others will turn against him and not like him that previously did like him, others might just dislike him the whole way through his career. It is just the nature of people’s opinions. Also maybe with the exception of Tater, nobody has said he is a bad performer.

Unfortunately for him, his past has came back to bite him in the ass lately. I think once people found out about the gay porn he participated in, that was the final nail in the coffin. Give it another month or maybe 6, Mitch (I mean Lars) will either get fired from WWE, catch the AIDS from all that butt sex he participated in over the years, or this whole gay porn thing is gonna get so big and out of control, it will make him snap to the point he's gonna go fucking kill a bunch of people like Benoit did to his own wife and son. OR he'll be catching a lawsuit from Al Sharpton.
You may think Mitch has talent, but that talent will forever be shadowed by the fact that he's a homophobic, xenophobic piece of shit. With all the bullshit he said and all the racial tensions going on in our country right now, it's a fucking miracle he hasn't been shot yet.

I don't care if he's gay or not or if he has done gay porn in the past before his "wrestling" career. That's his personal business and that's probably why WWE didn't fire him. WWE will never fire him 'cause they are 100% behind that man and pretty loyal to him. Lars's career ending soon? Not a chance of that happening. He'll be around a long time, sorry to say.

And also, why would WWE fire a guy because of him possibly being "gay" or had a past of gay porn? WWE has always been LGBT friendly, don't you know that? They had gay personalities in the business before like Pat Patterson and Chris Kanyon for starters.
