Drake Maverick's Release a work?

So I've just watched this weeks NXT and the promo Drake Maverick cut seemed less personal than his ones from the past weeks. I think WWE are trying to do what they did with CM Punk in 2011. What do you think?

Re: Drake Maverick's Release a work?

I made a post here a while back asking if Drake's firing was a work and glad to see I'm not alone on this. Yes, I think it's a storyline for sure and they might be going somewhere with it. Some of the other firings might be a work too, though.

Which others do you think are a work?

Re: Drake Maverick's Release a work?

They may re-up him after realizing what they're letting go, but I don't believe this is a 'work'. Initially they just never really gave the guy a chance, same as they don't with most former Impact/TNA stars.

They probably felt bad for releasing Drake 'cause he is a talented guy and believe it or not, Drake has a large fan following. They're probably gonna re-sign/reinstate him.
